Collaboration help
Can you earn money as a KOC? Income sources and payment conditions
Four income sources for a KOC
On HOJA, every collaboration settles as one of three types: a flat fee, a performance commission, or a free product. Outside HOJA, many KOCs also earn from marketplace affiliate programs.
A free product is still a benefit you received, not unpaid work.
What sets the fee
The fee is agreed from the content format, the production workload, the usage rights the brand wants, the schedule, and the channel. You negotiate it per collaboration before signing.
HOJA publishes no rate card and does not set the fee for you or for the brand.
When a payout is confirmed
After the e-contract is signed you submit a draft for brand approval, publish, and send the live link. The settlement moves from Awaiting payment to Payment approved, then Paid.
Without an approved draft and a published link, the settlement is not confirmed yet.
HOJA holds no money and currently charges nothing
The advertiser transfers to the payout account you registered and then records the payment with a reference. HOJA for Influencer is currently free for creators.
Because HOJA never receives the money for you, it also deducts no commission and no tax from your payout.
The tax obligation is yours
Collaboration income is your personal income under the rules in force. Keep the contract, the transfer reference, and the receipt images so you can reconcile them when you declare.
Thresholds and rates change over time, so HOJA states no figures and gives no tax advice — check with the tax authority or a tax professional.
